In theaters August 17, Where the crayfish sing is the next feature film by Olivia Newman, adapted from the novel by Delia Owens. The film tells the story of an isolated young woman whose first contact with the outside world will cause her a lot of worry: “Kya, an abandoned little girl, grew up alone in the dangerous swamps of North Carolina. The film is produced by Hello Sunshine, the company of Reese Witherspoon, already known for Gone Girl and the series Big Little Lies. To embody the heroine, Kya, the team has set its sights on Daisy Edgar-Jones, a 24-year-old British youngster with already confirmed talent. It must be said that she has been immersed in the world of television and sets since her earliest childhood. With an editor mother and a TV channel director dad, it’s hard not to follow this path.
