A trailer for the film adaptation of the bestseller Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, which will be released in July, was unveiled on Tuesday. And oh surprise!, it’s a new song from Taylor Swift that accompanies it, in which the singer’s voice, much deeper than usual, is practically unrecognizable.

carolinawhich is Taylor Swift’s first release since the release of Evermore end of 2020, was produced by Aaron Dessner, of The National.
The singer announced the news herself on her Instagram page on Tuesday morning.
“As soon as I found out there was going to be an adaptation of that book I read a few years ago, and I knew it would star the amazing Daisy Edgar-Jones and that it would be produced by the brilliant Reese Whiterspoon, I immediately wanted to participate in its musical component”, she explains.
“I wrote the song alone carolina, then I asked my friend Aaaron Dessner to make it. I wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to tie in with this compelling story. »
While the trailer gives a short and tantalizing glimpse of it, carolina will be launched in full soon, adds the singer, without indicating a precise date.
