The weekend of August 6 marks the end of the parliamentary session and therefore the start of vacation for members of the government. However, they are required to stay less than three hours from Paris during the two-week summer break.
In recent days, on social networks, the ministers have not hidden their impatience. After an intense year, the members of the government will go on vacation for two weeks, starting on Saturday August 6. Direction the Basque Country for Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Cotentin for Pap Ndiaye, Minister of National Education, and Loir-et-Cher for Marc Fesneau, Minister of Agriculture.
The vast majority, however, chose the Southeast, starting with Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, who will be in the Var. Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, Éric Dupond-Moretti, Minister of Justice, and Gabriel Attal, Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts, will also benefit from the shores of the Mediterranean. However, ministers do not have the right to disconnect and must return to Paris in the event of an emergency. The official return of the government is scheduled for August 24, for the Council of Ministers.
