The mercury will rise to 24°C in the North, Saturday October 29. The temperatures, well above seasonal norms, are worrying, but also allow the inhabitants to enjoy the sun.

In Strasbourg (Alsace), a huge Christmas tree is installed, Saturday October 29, under a bright sun. It will be 22°C this afternoon, ten more than normal for the season. This unprecedented heat wave disturbs the Alsatians. “It’s a little worrying there, the temperatures are really high, we were in t-shirts yesterday”, entrusts a resident. In Malo-les-Bains (North), consumer habits are upset, ice cream is still sold on All Saints’ Day.

Nearly 24°C are expected this afternoon on the northern beaches, almost twice as much as usual. “There is a climate change there. We gained ten degrees more in 15 days, it’s still quite surprising in this period to have such mild temperatures”, explains a man. Another inhabitant remembers seeing General De Gaulle come out of the church Our Lady November 11, frost on the ground. This sweetness will last at least until the end of the weekend.
