Luxey has an exceptional natural heritage. The Petite Leyre and its gallery forest has its source in the town. Many cultural activities take place there, organized by local associations, including that of musicalarue which organizes shows all year round with its flagship event in summer: the Musicalarue festival, the 2022 edition of which takes place from July 29 to 31.
One of the first places you discover when arriving at the festival is the circle of the union of Luxey. The Friendly Society of Union Circle Members is 120 years old. Born on July 11, 1897, it went through the time of the two wars, tapping, distilleries, competition from other cafés, before becoming the only bar in the village. During Musicalarue, it hosts concerts and street performances.
Another emblematic place of the Musicalarue de Luxey festival, the green theater. For years, it has welcomed established artists of all generations, from Pierre Perret to Yves Duteil via Vianney. In 2022, Nadau, Didier Wampas, Gauvain Sers and Gérard Lanvin are programmed in this place.
During Musicalarue, more or less pronounced rock lovers can stop at the Saint-Roch stage. This was the case for example with several concerts of the group The Inspector Cluzo which took place there over the years.
The busiest space of the Musicalarue festival is undoubtedly that of the Sarmouneys stage. Joe Cocker, Patti Smith, Véronique Sanson, Julien Clerc, Slimane, Patrick Bruel have all had the privilege of performing there in front of thousands of spectators each time.
Musicalarue has the particularity of offering often musical moments of conviviality, throughout its space, and not just on the stages. The bandas like to criss-cross the aisles of the festival.
