In the race for the American presidential election, it is time for unity on the Republican side. A few days after the assassination attempt on former president and current candidate Donald Trump, former enemies have become unconditional supporters. They were able to show it during their speech on Tuesday, July 16, the second day of the Republican Party Convention. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who was very quickly ejected from the primary, defended Donald Trump but also Nikki Haley, who had lasted longer in the race.
There were a few whistles when she took the stage, but the former UN ambassador put an end to them right away. “My fellow Republicans, Donald Trump has asked me to speak at this convention on behalf of unity. Let me first be very clear: Donald Trump has my unconditional support. Period.”
The former opponent’s allegiance is total, so she tries to convince those who voted for her in the elections.“We should recognize that there are Americans who disagree with Donald Trump 100 percent of the time. I’ve known them. And I want to speak to them tonight.”
“You don’t have to agree with Trump 100% to vote for him.”

Message of unity received five out of five in the audience. “I think his speech marks a turning point, assures Barbara, delegate from Nebraska. It was a big call for unity. He’s our candidate and I think everybody is behind Trump. This is a 100 percent Trump convention.”
In his seat in the stands, the person concerned savors it and still takes the trouble to get up at the end to applaud.
