Associating art with technology, a concept that is still little developed and yet the D’autreformes festival has chosen to make it its trademark. Thus, over three weekends, between March 29 and April 14, the public will be able to let yourself be captivated by fun, light and sound installations, unusual video games, concerts or workshops.

No need to be tech-savvy, the festival is imagined as a moment of technological and poetic escape, accessible to as many people as possible. For this 3rd edition, the themes chosen are water and adolescence.

One of the major installations of this festival is “Flux”, a show lasting only 15 minutes, but which intrigues and fascinates. The device is made up of 48 LED bars, controlled by software and synchronized with the music.

Created by a collective of French artists, this astonishing choreography of light has been touring the world for three years. “It’s kinetic art, visual and sound art, we are here to tell stories, to accompany artists and make people dream“, says Grégory Sémah of the Scale collective.

“A poetic escape with technology”

Concerts, installations, exhibitions, conferences, the festival plans around ten events to combine art and technology. All for these organizers with one and the same ambition: to make the public dream.

We want to show the public that they can poetically escape with technology. He can be moved, surprised, laugh and dance. He can come with family or friends to marvel at works that have never been seen in Besançon“, explains Simon Nicolas, artistic coordinator of the D’autreformes festival.

Last year, the event attracted nearly 4,500 curious people. For this 3rd edition, the festival continues to offer innovative events, most of which are free.
