Antoine Dupont is a normal man. The Stade Toulousain star, voted best French international player during Rugby Night on Monday evening in Paris, decided to take a bike ride in the capital after the ceremony organized by the LNR at the Olympia. Quite simply, he rented a city bike and rode his trophy in the rack. The scene, published on social networks by his teammate of the France team Yoann Maestri, was very popular.
“This guy is awesome!”
The reactions are numerous on Twitter. “This guy is awesome,” commented one fan. “He’s really too strong. He even found a Velib’ that works,” wrote another. “I don’t see bodyguards like some football players who can’t even take the subway,” greets another fan.
Named world’s best rugby player last year, Antoine Dupont lost the title of best player in the Top 14 this year. It was the English third-line center of the MHR, Zach Mercer, who won the title.
