A doctor, since captured by the Russians, transmitted footage of her daily life in wartime Ukraine to Mariupol.

It was a young Ukrainian doctor who transmitted her images in extremis from Mariupol (Ukraine), a few days before being captured by the Russians on March 16. “Two weeks of war, Mariupol is besieged”, says Yulia Paiekvska, a doctor. Since the start of the war, she has been filming and documenting the horror of war, as close as possible to the action.

In his images shot two days after the start of the invasion, a young boy and his little sister arrive injured. Despite the care, the boy will not survive. Yulia Paiekvska then bursts into tears. Two weeks of war across the front lines, a rare testimony broadcast today, as Yulia managed to transmit her images via a simple memory card hidden in a buffer to the last team of journalists present in Mariupol. She is now missing.
