Growth at half mast, soaring inflation: “whatever the cost” how far?

After a strong recovery last year, the French economy clearly marked time in the first quarter, weighed down by the Omicron wave at the start of the year and inflation. Zero growth, below all forecasts; inflation of 4.8% in April (unheard of since 1985); household consumption down 1.3% since January. This worrying situation puts economic and social issues back at the top of the priorities of the five-year period which is about to begin.

How to put education and training back at the heart of the five-year term?

This is another major project of the new five-year term: putting the school and the university back in the heart of the village. To be innovative and capable of reindustrialising, any economy must properly train its population. How to do it, when France is today the OECD country where the social origin of children weighs the most heavily on school results?
