Keep the flame alive. If you have not yet managed to obtain a ticket for an Olympic Games event (from July 26 to August 11), you have another chance. The Organizing Committee (Cojop) announces several “surprise appointments at the Paris 2024 ticket office” in the coming weeks, in order to sell a little more than 2 million remaining sesames. The first catch-up session is set for Thursday February 8, from 10 a.m.
This chance will be taken online only on the official website, mainly for events which will take place in Île-de-France. Among the events available: equestrian sports in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, judo at the Arena Champ-de-Mars, or even fencing at the Grand Palais.
First come, first served
Almost half of these new sesames will be offered for less than 100 euros. The sale will be open to all, without a draw, on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of thirty tickets per ticketing account, taking into account previous orders. In addition, new tickets will be on sale for the four ceremonies, in particular the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games, on September 8 at the Stade de France (from 45 euros).
However, there is no need to wait until February 8 to hope to attend the Games. Places are still on sale for team sports in the provinces: in Marseille and Nice for the Bleus du football; in Lyon and Saint-Etienne to encourage Hervé Renard’s players, or in Lille for the handball and basketball tournaments. Paralympic events (blind football, para athletics and swimming, wheelchair tennis) also await their audience, with places starting from 15 euros.
