Is it possible that one day you will tour comedy shows again?
Lise Anctil
I’m thinking about it more and more because people are talking to me about it more and more, so that’s a good sign. It must have been seven years since I last went on stage. I want to start doing little acts in stand-up bars. I’m very excited about this idea, but a little nervous too. The older we get, the more we want to be relevant and the more we have to lose too! I won’t do a big tour, because I’ve experienced the touring life and I know it’s a young person’s thing! I want to do a new show, but I don’t know when yet, because I’m filming on STAT, an experience that I really like! I’ve wanted to participate in a series like this for a long time. It’s fascinating to enter into people’s lives. Everyone talks to me about my character, in the street, at the grocery store, at the hardware store. Even I watch the show and forget I’m in it!
If you hadn’t been a comedian or actor, what would your job have been?
Chrystine
I would have liked to be a painter. I draw all the time. I like going to museums, art galleries and I like being in my studio, it’s a moment of solitude which is meditative. I love singing too. I did it in my shows. It touches a deep fiber, it’s very liberating to let yourself be carried away by a text, a song. I have always had difficulty taking myself seriously when I sing, I don’t have the technique of a singer or the discipline, but I love singing!
Could you have had a career in the United States?
Benoit Gareau
I believe so, in my ultimate fantasy, but there are so many called and few chosen. People who have my casting and talent, there are hundreds or thousands of them in the United States! When I watch interviews with, for example, Ryan Gosling who says he did hundreds of auditions with no response, it’s crazy! Hollywood is the Mecca for all artists who dream of success. All Hollywood restaurant servers are actors, singers, and often at very high levels. I would have dreamed of having fun in an environment where there is no budget limit! You have an idea and you have the means. In France, I got a little taste of it, but in the United States, when you’re successful, anything goes.
Are you aware of the positive influence that your role as Eric in STAT could have in the cold and impersonal environment of hospitals?
Claire Pelletier
The inspiration for this role came from working with extraordinary beneficiary attendants. With the deaths of my parents and sister, I saw their incredible work. They are people who have hearts, who listen and ignore their own suffering. When I was offered this role, I found it interesting. I had other character suggestions, but it was really Eric the attendant that I wanted to play. We rarely see them in the public sphere even though their work is so important. And I’m happy when people in the health sector tell me: “We all know Eric, dedicated and invested. »
You have participated in several Cancer Research Society Challenges. What is the biggest challenge you overcame during one of these trips?
Manon Pepin
Each trip has had its share of challenges, but the Camino de Santiago… 325 kilometers of walking! I, who had never had a knee problem in my life, realized that there was a weakness at this level! I had to finish the last three or four days backwards! I had no choice, it hurt too much… but walking backwards is complicated! Some people who made the trip with me were in remission from cancer, so I told myself that it was nothing and that I had to make my way!
I loved the book Royal family which made me laugh and cry. I would like to know if there will be a sequel.
Micheline Paquin
I hear a lot about my story, and it touches me a lot. A suite ? I think about it sometimes, but at the same time, in this book, it was a lot about my childhood, and it’s difficult to follow up, because it would focus on my career as a comedian and actor. I’ve already told a lot about myself on stage, perhaps I’ve talked enough about myself! I still have a few juicy anecdotes to tell about my adult life. Do I need to tell everything? This is an other story !
