A new collective agreement for private employers is the big change in this year 2022, explains Evelyne Martinet, Center Val de Loire regional facilitator for Particular employment. The collective agreement is the text negotiated by the unions of employees and the unions of employers. Inside you have all the special rules of labor law between private employers and employees: employment contract, leave, wages, dismissal, all the rules that employers and employees must apply.
Two collective agreements that are one
Before January 1, 2022, there were two collective agreements for individual employers: a collective agreement for employees of the individual employer for individuals who hire a life assistant, a family employee, a childcare worker at their home, and an agreement which concerned childminders for individuals who hire a childminder. The new collective agreement concerns all branches.
In France, there are 3.34 million individuals who employ an employee.
