Many Israelis are calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, judged responsible for the current crisis in the country after the Hamas attack. Several elements are criticized against him.
The faces and names of the hostages are displayed on the walls and buildings of Tel Aviv (Israel). Nine days after the Hamas attacks, Israeli authorities communicated a new figure : 199. This is the number of hostages that the terrorist organization is holding. In the city, demonstrators are demanding the release of these people. They are particularly angry with Benjamin Netanyahu, the country’s Prime Minister. The latter consider him particularly responsible for the current crisis facing Israel.
Several grievances against Benjamin Netanyahu
Opponents criticize Benjamin Netanyahu for his policies, in particular the failure on the intelligence services and the inability to protect Israelis living near the Gaza Strip. Before the war against Hamas, Benjamin Netanyahu was already widely criticized by both MPs and citizens for the judicial reform that he wanted to force through. In the streets, thousands of demonstrators hostile to this reform have been mobilizing for several weeks in the country.
