A compact crowd, thousands of anonymous people and loved ones gathered to never forget. Thomas, 16, was murdered at a village fete last weekend. In the lead, his family, then his rugby teammates who stick together. Thousands of balloons in club colors are released into the sky to honor the memory of the high school student.

Three minors among the suspects

Less than four days after the attack, nine suspects were taken into custody. They were identified thanks to personal effects left behind when they fled, videos, the marking of their cell phones and the hearing of more than a hundred witnesses. Among them: three minors over 16 years old, the others are between 19 and 22 years old.

Most were born in Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme). The person suspected of stabbing Thomas is 20 years old. He has already been fined for concealment of theft and carrying a bladed weapon, and was banned from possessing a weapon for two years. According to the lawyer for four suspects, these young people did not come to the ball to fight. Some tried to flee, and reportedly spent a night in a Toulouse hotel. According to investigators, they wanted to leave for Spain.
