A first day of strike by drivers of the Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS) is being held today. This walkout is part of the salary and working conditions negotiations between bus drivers and the STS. Service disruptions are expected for users, who can find out about the situation on the STS website and Facebook page as well as on the Transit mobile application. No service will be offered in the morning, and the service will resume at 11:30 a.m. This is the first of four strike days, planned by the STS drivers’ union for September 9, 10, 11 and 21.
No refunds or compensation for purchased tickets will be made, according to the STS website, which recommends that its users keep up to date with developments in the situation.
