Succession

With 25 quotes, Succession sits at the top of the nominations. To sum up Succession for those who don’t know this wonderful TV series looks like this: the four adult children of the CEO of a media conglomerate stick knives in their backs, insult each other royally and do not hesitate to throw brother or sister under the wheels of the proverbial bus to dethrone their conservative dad, Logan Roy (superb Brian Cox).

Ted Lasso

This is the most heartwarming series of the last two years, filled with kindness, benevolence and good gags. Parachuted into London, American football coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) finds himself at the head of a declining soccer team, which he must bring back together. You don’t have to love sports to get into Ted Lasso. Each of the secondary roles is well defined and important in the story. It is not for nothing that honors rain down on this pure happiness production.

It is the comedy of the year and it is to be viewed on the Crave platform, which offers eight half-hours of the second season in English as well as in a French version with subtitles. The series is based on the complicated relationship that develops between boomer Deborah and her young millennial author Ava (Hannah Einbinder).

Euphoria

It is at the same time superb, exhilarating and depressing. Glaucous, too. We look at a single plan and we know immediately that we are entering Euphoria with its overloaded suburban houses with brown wooden walls. But at the same time, what would Euphoria without all these excesses? The screenwriters screwed the abuse into the center of the plots. Darker and more violent, the second season picks up on New Year’s Eve, shortly after the breakup between Rue and his girlfriend Jules (Hunter Schafer), who jumped on a train to disappear at the end of the road.

Only Murders in the Building

Only Murders in the Building is a fun and witty series. Big thumbs up from my side. It is viewed in one go. Throughout the episodes, the viewer juggles motley pieces of the puzzle like a million-dollar erotic painting, hidden elevators, spicy secrets from the past, and rivalries that date back to the 1970s. Again, Martin Short inherits the the most powerful replies. He is hilarious.
