Since Monday, Israel has been bombing several areas of Lebanon and has mentioned its “possible entry” into the territory to strike even harder at Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas. These intentions accentuate the possibility of a “generalized war” in the Middle East, according to US President Joe Biden. These massive attacks by Israel have left more than 600 dead since Monday and have thrown more than 90,000 Lebanese onto the roads, according to the UN.
Other speeches to watch from New York include British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the leader of Sudan, whose country has been ravaged by war for nearly a year and a half.
