United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres begins his visit to Ukraine on Thursday, after setting foot in Moscow to meet President Vladimir Putin. During his stay in Ukraine, Mr. Guterres will visit the suburbs of kyiv, namely Boutcha, Irpin and Borodianka. It is in these towns that the Russian army allegedly committed abuses.
It will also be necessary to monitor the actions of the Kremlin with regard to its gas exports. On Wednesday, Moscow cut off supplies to Poland and Bulgaria.
In Canada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, will be questioned by a Senate committee on the situation in Ukraine.
