Indoor: meet the circus and dance

Combining aerial circus and contemporary dance, Waves, intimate and contemplative solo, evokes the rebirth of a woman and her resilience. For 50 minutes, Anouk Vallée-Charest invites spectators to dive into her world described as “moving, gentle and human”. The artist, who has already worked with Cirque du Soleil and Cirque Éloize, notably presents straps and aerial hoop numbers on stage. The show takes place at the Maison de la culture Claude-Léveillée, in Montreal, and admission is free. However, it is necessary to reserve your seat.

Dany Placard will make a rare visit to Montreal, and the last of his tour, at the Ausgang Plaza on December 4th. He will perform there songs from his albums I don’t know anything about astronomy and Astronomy (continued), launched a year apart, in winter 2020 and winter 2021. Entitled The Dufour-Lapointe sisters – from one dream to another, the series will present them to us going through one of the most eventful years of their lives. While Maxime continues his medical studies, his sisters Chloé and Justine are preparing for the Beijing Winter Olympics. The choreographers Julia B. Laperrière and Sébastien Provencher present What will come, their most recent creation. Accompanied by the Berlin musician Braulio Bandeira (alias Deepneue), the two artists question the human obsession to categorize everything, to put everything in precise boxes.
