On Friday, the Russian military claimed responsibility for capturing three more villages in eastern Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry said it had captured three small towns that had not been mentioned before: Novozhelanne and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region and Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

Moscow troops continue their advance towards Pokrovsk, an important logistics hub. Russian soldiers are now less than ten kilometers from the city.

Air Force Commander Fired in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday the dismissal of Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk, a day after the announcement of the crash of an American-designed F-16 aircraft delivered to kyiv. Volodymyr Zelensky did not explain the reasons for this decision.

However, it comes shortly after the loss of this precious device, delivered recently by the West. According to the Ukrainian army, this crash occurred during a massive attack by Russian missiles and drones carried out on Monday, and cost the life of the pilot of the aircraft, trained in the United States.
