guest of Presidential mornings from franceinfo, in partnership with Konbini, Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic candidate for his re-election, answered questions for an hour from Salhia Brakhlia and Marc Fauvelle, as well as Lucie Carrasco, with a disability, who campaigns for more accessibility of public places, Jeanne Pujos Saint-Genez, who participates in the #DoublePeine movement which denounces the handling of rape complaints, as well as Sara El Attar, president of the Hashtag Ambition association. The president-candidate finally answered questions from franceinfo listeners.
Emmanuel Macron notably clarified his pension reform project, and spoke out for developments on the issue of disabled adult allowance and for the creation of an administrative file for sex offenders. Here’s what to remember.
Marine Le Pen – Emmanuel Macron: two sides of the same coin?
“I strongly dispute it”, replied Emmanuel Macron in the face of the arguments put forward by the supporters of the “ni-ni”. Out of the question for the president to suggest that Marine Le Pen and him would be identical. For him, “the extreme right, on several occasions, challenged several fundamental values, on the way to reform the Constitution, on the return to the abolition of the death penalty, on the report to journalists and their recusal”. “I think we are in another category”concluded the candidate who “claims to be in the republican camp”.
While left-wing voters, and in particular those of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, are coveted by the two candidates in the second round, the outgoing president assured that he wanted “to take up the proposals of other candidates”among others “on the subjects of water quality and air quality”.
Invited to react to the student protests denouncing the poster for the second round of the presidential election, Emmanuel Macron estimated that “democracy is made of rules”. He recalled that democratic rules presuppose that “everyone goes to the project they are closest to in the first round” before, in the second round, “to choose between the two projects that come out on top”.

“Two guarantees” on pensions
No question of fundamentally changing the pension reform for the LREM candidate. He still plans to gradually delay the retirement age to 64 or 65. “I don’t change the pace, otherwise I can’t fund the progress I want”argued Emmanuel Macron, who cited the re-indexation of pensions to inflation “from summer” and the transition from minimum pension to full rate to “1100€”.
On the other hand, he undertook not to touch the age from which the discount is canceled, that is to say 67 years old.

The salary of Carlos Tavares “shocking”: towards a ceiling for high salaries
“It’s shocking, it’s excessive”, reacted Emmanuel Macron about the income of Carlos Tavares, executive director of Stellantis, whose remuneration for the year 2021 amounts to 19 million euros. Estimates even mention 66 million euros taking into account the various bonuses. “Either we say to ourselves why not me, or we say to ourselves it is inadmissible, and it is inadmissible”continued the outgoing president, who said he was in favor of the establishment of “ceilings” in Europe. “We have to convince our European partners to carry out a reform that makes it possible to regulate the remuneration of our leaders”he summed up the LREM candidate.
“We must move” on the disabled adult allowance
Lucie Cascarro, one of the witnesses selected by our partner Konbini, questioned the president on whether she should choose “love” or his “independence” because, if she marries, she will lose her disabled adult allowance. “We have to move on this point”replied Emmanuel Macron, who did not specify how. “There are several answers, either do this [déconjugaliser l’AAH]or to have an income which allows support but which is not conditioned, that there is not this ax which is absurd today, there are plenty of people with disabilities who have it”he said.
Lucie Carrasco questions the candidate about the AAH ➡️ “Choose love”, replies Emmanuel Macron. “We have to move on this point”, he assures. pic.twitter.com/IP1ufMDMKc

So far, however, the government has always come out against the “deconjugalization“. The oppositions have several times put the project to the vote in the Assembly but it has always been rejected.
“For me, the question of the veil is not an obsession” assures Emmanuel Macron
Second witness, Sara El Attar, president of the association Hashtag Ambition asked him, among other things, what he “had to say to the French citizens who have been castigated more than ever, in recent years, for a simple scarf [islamique]”while its competitor from the National Rally proposes to ban the veil in public space.
“With me, there is no change in this policy, that is to say there is a neutrality of public services, no veil in public services, no veil at school, at college and in high school with minors”has the president-candidate. “For the rest, society is a free society”he hammered.
Sara El Attar now questions the outgoing president on the veil ➡️ “I have always been very clear. Secularism is the possibility of believing or not believing. I defended the status quo in 2017. I don’t have not changed the rules”, for Emmanuel Macron. pic.twitter.com/GSYVjAmK9d

Violence against women: Emmanuel Macron in favor of the administrative “registration” of sex offenders
She was the third witness selected by Konbini: Jeanne Pujos Saint-Genez, member of the #DoublePeine collective, told the president that she had “had to file a complaint three times before it was received“. The young woman asked him “if there was no way to file sex offenders“, on the model of what is done in the fight against terrorism for S files.”It will be, it is part of my written commitments“, assured the candidate LREM.
“Someone who has already been the subject of a complaint and / or who has a record linked to domestic violence” will be listed in a “administrative file”. This type of file is to be differentiated from a judicial file, such as the Fijais (File of perpetrators of sexual or violent offences) for which a conviction is particularly necessary.
On the subject, the outgoing president also wanted to recall his record, and in particular on training: “We trained the police and the gendarmes and all those who leave school are trained on this subject“, he assured.
Will there be a registration of sex offenders? ➡ “This will be the case”, assures Emmanuel Macron, an “administrative file”, like the S files.
