Savoy Goat is a low number breedrecognized since July 31, 2020. The association working since 2001 so that it regains its place in the farms of the 2 Savoie and the bordering departments. Different actions have been implemented to characterize it and create a standard and identify the animals that meet these criteria, in particular by carrying out inventories. The development of milk recording makes it possible to better understand milk production qualitative and quantitative of animals and lead to a more objective selection of breeding animals.
A prawn nursery was created in 2001, in partnership with the Center d’Élevage de Poisy.
