Luna Returns to the Mistral
Within the confines of the Marseille penitentiary, an unexpected alarm interrupts the conversation between Babeth and Luna. As the nurse rushes off to investigate, Cécilia (Delphine Chanéac) seizes the moment to invade the infirmary, attempting to strangle Luna. Just in time, Patrick intervenes and prevents the attack.
Back at the police station in Mistral, Patrick discovers Maître Bataille (Victoria Grosbois) comfortably settled in her office. She expresses her gratitude for his timely rescue of her client and informs him that Cécilia will soon be relocated to a distant prison, away from Luna.
Meanwhile, at the Pavillon des Fleurs, Mirta and Blanche eagerly wait for Babeth’s return, but more importantly, for Luna’s arrival. The former inmate has been granted conditional release, and everyone is thrilled to reunite. The four women raise a toast to celebrate this joyous occasion.
Léa’s Troubling Health Concerns
At Le Mistral bar-restaurant, Léa appears lost in her thoughts, envisioning a conversation with Jean-Paul (Stéphane Henon). Her daydream is interrupted when Aya approaches to take her order, only to be met with Léa’s concern about a missing glass of milk for her husband. Aya is puzzled, noting that no one is sitting across from her.
Later, Léa confides in Gabriel about a patient suffering from severe headaches and fatigue. She expresses her worry, stating, ‘She thought she was speaking to her husband, who wasn’t even in the same room.’
Gabriel’s response is grave, suggesting that the symptoms could indicate a brain tumor. He apologizes for the implications, adding that an MRI is necessary, which doesn’t bode well for the patient’s holiday season. Léa struggles to mask her apprehension.
When Jean-Paul visits Léa at her office, he presents her with Christmas gifts for their children. Overwhelmed with emotion, Léa responds, ‘I love you, even if I don’t say it often enough, and the girls feel the same. This Christmas is going to be amazing.’
Gabriel and Thomas: A Turning Point?
Meanwhile, Gabriel shares shocking news with his cousin, Samuel (Iñaki Lartigue): Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) is considering adoption. Samuel is taken aback and struggles to grasp his husband’s decision. At the same time, Thomas confides in Eric about his aspirations for fatherhood.
Later, Baptiste excitedly tells his father about his plans to establish a bar in Australia and his eagerness to share Christmas with family at Mistral. Emma joins them, revealing she has invited Déborah Larcher and her daughter, Romy, for Christmas Eve. Thomas is touched and expresses his gratitude to Emma.
In a separate scene, Kilian surprises his girlfriend, Aya, with a Christmas gift—a book about the Tour de France in fifteen dates. Although Aya is initially disappointed, Kilian explains it’s just a playful gesture. Suddenly, Aya spots a mysterious woman who has been associated with the enigmatic advent calendars.
Aya attempts to confront her, but the woman slips away, leaving behind a note that reads: ‘Your dreams will take you far, it’s the magic of Christmas.’ Both Kilian and Aya are left astonished by the cryptic message.
As tensions escalate, Gabriel and Thomas finally confront their issues. Thomas broaches the topic of adoption, leading Gabriel to respond harshly: ‘You don’t adopt a child at fifty. Stop playing with dolls. Wake up.’
The atmosphere grows tense as Thomas looks Gabriel in the eye and delivers a shocking statement: ‘You’re right, I’m an a**, it’s time to move on. I want a divorce.’
