“What the hell was I doing here?” This former winner of “Koh-Lanta” regrets her participation and wants to forget

Since 2002, Denis Brogniart has hosted the successful show
Koh Lanta
. This Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the launch of the new season greatly disappointed, bringing together only 3.66 million faithful, with still excellent scores on targets: 33.6% on housewives, 52% on children aged between 4 and 14, and 48% on young adults aged between 15 and 34. Scores in line with those achieved by all the other streams launched by TF1 in recent weeks, such as
Star Academy, The Voice
And
Dance with the stars
who also produced this Friday February 16 a very good launch to nearly 4 million faithfuland more than 35% on housewives.

But in an interview with TV Star to be published this Monday January 19, 2024, one of the most emblematic winners of Koh Lanta seems to regret her participation in the program: Christelle Gauzet. If she does not want to forget the season she won in 2008 in the Philippines, she nevertheless has very bad memories of the All-Stars season in which she agreed to participate thirteen years later: “The values of the show are opposed to those of Défi d’Elles. In Koh-Lanta, we must eliminate others to move forward, while we advocate sharing” condemns the one who nevertheless won a nice check for 100,000 euros.

This all-star season of Koh Lanta had been marked by significant controversies: the three champions of the program, Claude Dartois, Teheiura Teahui and Sam Haliti were guilty of historic cheating, by going to ask for food from the local populations, at night, discreetly, when the cameras were extinguished. The deception was however revealed, and the sanctions fell: Teheiura was ejected from the competition, and Claude, initially the big winner with 9 votes against 4 for Laurent Maistret, had to give his check for €100,000 to the Bertrand-Kamal Association. A very chaotic adventure, in which Christelle Gauzet today regrets having participated.

“What the hell was I doing here?”

“I was wondering what the hell I was doing there. Fortunately there was the spectacle of nature in French Polynesia” regrets, bitterly, the former policewoman. Since reconverting, Christelle has actually changed her life. The forty-year-old showed Elle Challenge, an association which aims to show women that they can achieve their best despite illness, and more specifically breast cancer. In the casting of this new edition of Koh Lanta

Christelle has the pleasure of meeting one of her friends and volunteers, since Sarah is involved in the association : “I know her state of mind and I know she can go very far”. But for now, the young woman is far from unanimous, both in the camp and on social networks.
