While the issue of rising wages is significant in France, the 8 p.m. news was interested in solutions provided in other countries of the world.
The question of wage increases is essential in France and everywhere in the world. In some countries, the State is taking up the issue by indexing wages to inflation. In others, companies have no choice but to increase their employees to keep them when labor has become scarce. For example, in the United States, wages increased by 5.6%. But American companies sometimes resort to other solutions, such as offering their employees to work from home all week.
In the United Kingdom, salaries rose by 5.4%, not enough to prevent a loss of purchasing power for the lowest salaries. Boris Johnson’s Liberal government plans to remove the exclusivity clause on the most precarious contracts to allow low wages to work in several companies.
