After Ciaran and Domingos, the Frederico depression crosses France. This disruption travels Thursday November 16 on an axis going from Brittany to Alsace, according to Météo-France, and is accompanied “reinforcement” wind and precipitation. In the mountains, gusts close to 130 km/h are possible. The forecasting institute anticipates a “lull” in the early evening and plans to lift vigilance in the evening.

In the evening and night from Thursday to Friday, strong winds will reach the Mediterranean, in particular the Var, the Alpes-Maritimes and Haute-Corse, which have been placed on orange alert for “strong winds” from 9 p.m. Météo-France mentions gusts of 100 to 120 km/h possible on the Mediterranean coast, 160 to 180 km/h on Cap Corse, 140 to 160 km/h on the coastal Balagne, and up to 120 km/h in the Bastia area. These violent gusts will be in effect until Friday morning. Then, during the day, “a relative calm is expected, although with fairly frequent showers from the North-East to the Northern Alps”.
