Two months ago, Italy was the first European country to have passed the mandatory health pass at work, in the public and private sectors.

Where the French government is still a little hesitant, the Italian authorities have made their decision regarding the strict obligation of the compulsory health pass in companies. “With these controls, I can work quietly, I feel more serene”, rejoices the boss of a company. Since the beginning of October, all Italian employees must have all their vaccines against Covid-19 up to date, or present a negative test dated less than 48 hours.

In some companies, it is the boss who is in charge of checking the validity of his employees’ health passes, under penalty of a fine of 400 euros per employee without a pass. The company can also be suspended by the labor inspectorate. Two months after its implementation, this new provision has been accepted by most Italians. 87% of employees are up to date with vaccination.
