The Dodge Grand Caravan has been a benchmark for decades in the minivan segment. However, it should be noted that this model is no longer in production. You should therefore turn to a used model, the value of which has greatly increased over the past two years.
The Grand Caravan still exists new, but it is now marketed under the Chrysler banner. It’s actually a less well-equipped Pacifica that we don’t particularly recommend. Its base price of $46,490 (freight and preparation included) seems oddly high to us for what this model offers.
Elsewhere in the industry, you might consider the Kia Carnival, a very comfortable vehicle with a resolutely modern interior. Also noteworthy is Kia’s excellent 5-year/100,000 km basic warranty. What’s more, its starting price of $36,790 is significantly more attractive than that of the Chrysler.
You can also take a look at the Toyota Sienna, now delivered as standard with a hybrid engine and available with all-wheel drive. However, the waiting times for this model are high, which makes us fear that you may not receive it in time for the arrival of your two little ones!
