What is spirulina?

Spirulina has been around for over 3 billion years and was already consumed by the Mayans and Aztecs. The nutritional qualities of this cyanobacterium make it a super food. It is recognized as the ideal and most complete food for the humanity of tomorrow.

Spirulina is rich in protein (between 55 and 70% of its mass), in vitamins and beta-carotene, in minerals while being low in lipids. Its high iron content is an asset appreciated by vegetarians and vegans. Its level of antioxidants makes spirulina an anti-aging food. It has everything to please and is easily consumed in the form of capsules, or powder.

Like any super food, particular attention must be paid to its place of production, because spirulina has a strong capacity to store heavy metals.
