This is the question that the British press is asking, while the prince is multiplying his hands outstretched towards the royal family, after the announcement of the cancer of his father, King Charles III.

Member of the British royal family, 5th in the order of succession, he is the turbulent little brother, Prince Harry of Sussex. And if it’s in the news, it’s because the same question comes up on the front page of all the celebrity newspapers, but not only: “what if Harry reconciled with the royal family?” The prince jumped on a plane as soon as he could when his father, King Charles III, was diagnosed with cancer. And even though he only had a brief half-hour interview with him, that didn’t stop all the commentators from wondering if they were finally going to mend their ways.
“I love my family, and I will come back to see them as much as I can”, Harry told the American channel ABC a few days ago. But some seem to doubt, like this British specialist in non-verbal communication interviewed by Gala magazine. She states very seriously that the prince’s body language does not seem to show a real intention of reconciliation. She points out, in particular his “hypocritical” shrugs and the way he would raise his elbows before pushing them. The proof therefore that he in fact mainly passes the ball to the other camp.
The return of the enfant terrible, the family saga
The end of Prince Harry’s exile would therefore be far from being established. In any case, it is not certain that he will resume any function within the royal family tomorrow. Harry the traitor. Traitor for having chosen exile in the United States, for having married a divorced American woman. A traitor in the eyes of the tabloid newspapers, these continual accomplices of royalty whom he dared to bring to justice and who would welcome his return with a very negative eye. The return of the enfant terrible, “Dirty Harry”, and his Nazi costume at a masked ball. The one who testified in his autobiography of his immoderate taste for beer, marijuana, and even hallucinogenic mushrooms which were to allow him to discover his “real me”.
How do you know who you really are when you have lived constantly in the spotlight and when you suddenly lost your mother at 12? When one is born to be only a substitute destined not to substitute, a prince assigned never to reign. Harry continues, at 39, to find his place, trying to be accepted while accepting himself, through intimate confessions and shattering declarations. But ultimately, princes or not, they don’t always stay in place, families even less so, so we haven’t finished listening to chronicles about sulking, tinkering, love and hatred… After all , don’t members of the royal family experience the same reality as ordinary people? In any case, they are determined to continue to make us believe it.
