For the movie release The Young Lovers, Fanny Ardant lends herself to the promo marathon game! In particular, she spoke with The Parisian, on this film dealing with the age difference in a love story. The 72-year-old actress, who shares the bill with Melvil Poupaud, had warned that she would not shoot a nude scene. The director Carine Tardieu, she wanted a heroine who had not undergone cosmetic surgery.
“At my age, the chips are down. Never mind ! Since I was 15, I have always put on makeup, I have made myself up because I have experienced myself as an ugly young girl. And then, what I saw (cosmetic surgery) didn’t convince meconfides Fanny Ardant to the Parisian. My mother and my grandmother had agreed to grow old as they were. I think there are two things that are shameful in life: complaining about getting old, and complaining about paying too much tax. If you pay too much tax, you make a lot of money…“
