“What I know about you” is excluded from the finalists for the Femina prize

The novel What I know about you by Quebec writer Éric Chacour is excluded from the third selection for the prestigious French literary prize Femina, reports the specialized magazine Weekly Books. The jury revealed the list of finalists on Tuesday.

The French novels selected in this final selection are these:

  • Watch over herby Jean-Baptiste Andrea (The Iconoclast);
  • Lightningby Pierric Bailly (POL);
  • To my only sisterby Guy Boley (Grasset);
  • Sand Merchants, by Agnès Mathieu-Daudé (Flammarion);
  • Sad tiger, from Neige Sinno (POL).

The announcement of the winner will take place on November 6.

Éric Chacour’s novel, which traces the journey of a doctor forced to go into exile from Egypt to Montreal because of a forbidden love, is still in the running for the Renaudot prize.
