The market gardener and winegrower lost his life after a work accident with his tractor, crushed by it.
Didier Berton “was tinkering” the machine “on one of his espaliered plots of vines in Capestang, in the Hérault […] The tractor would have tipped over from a terrace and would have crushed the unfortunate”indicated our colleagues before specifying: “Alert by the explosion, neighboring farmers then contacted the emergency services”. “Didier Berton would have been seriously burned during this accident”we also learn.

To date, an autopsy is being conducted to determine more precisely the circumstances surrounding the death of the former candidate of “Love is in the meadow”, which the public discovered in 2011. His tractor indeed crashed near a can of gasoline but nothing guarantees, to date, that the tractor caused the explosion which burned and killed Didier. However, the fact that the explosion caused the fall of the tractor seems plausible according to the first elements of the investigation.
