After the liquidation of the group Geoxia, the building sites of many houses are not finished, Monday October 10th. Buyers are confused.

In the Pas-de-Calais, the life of a couple is on hold since the stoppage of the construction site of their house. In June 2022, the Geoxia group, owner of the Castor houses and the Phénix houses, is placed in liquidation. The group had attracted the confidence of buyers by highlighting its solidity. The couple hopes to revive the construction site thanks to the completion guarantee, a compulsory insurance for the construction of new houses. Customers will have to pay an additional 7,000 euros for their house.

More than 1,500 construction sites are waiting across France. An insurer supervises the majority of the cases, but did not have sufficient funds to complete the works at the time of the liquidation. “The vast majority of the sites will be finished by the end of 2023”, assures Patrick Dixneuf, temporary administrator of Imhotep Assurances. However, some customers will not be able to benefit from this cover, such as a family who wanted to carry out renovations.
