Several armed men opened fire on spectators at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, a suburb of the Russian capital, on Friday evening.
Spectators are settling into their seats in a concert hall, Friday March 22. They came to see the rock band Piknik. It was then that several attackers burst in before opening fire.
In the images captured by people present, we see several spectators taking refuge under their seats. Others try to escape through the stage. In the middle of the ranks, men shoot into the crowd. “They are shooting with a machine gun. There are people shooting”comment some spectators on videos filmed in the concert hall.
An attack shortly before 8 p.m. local time
Several heavily armed individuals fired at point-blank range in the concert hall, but also in the entrance hall, leaving death behind them. The attack took place shortly before 8 p.m. local time in a suburban district of Moscow, at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk. A provisional assessment from Russian intelligence reports at least 40 dead and 100 injured.
