The builder of the Phénix houses, Geoxia, is placed in receivership. He will know, Friday, June 10, if he finds a possible buyer. Several families are worried because the construction of their house is suspended.
In the Eure, the construction of the future home of a retiree has been at a standstill for almost three months. Its builder, the Geoxia group, is placed in receivership. Hundreds of construction sites are stopped all over France. The future is uncertain for owners. “It was the project of an end of life, and today it is turned upside down, this project“, confides the retiree.
In the years 1980, Phoenix houses was the leader in accessible single-family homes. The Covid-19 crisis and a general slowdown in the building sector have tested the group. “The increase in the cost of raw materials, the crazy inflation of energy prices at the beginning of 2022 and the effects of the war in Ukraine have further weakened our cash position“, has indicated Geoxia. The group will know on Friday June 10 if there are candidates for its takeover.
