Francis Ford Coppola returns to competition at the Cannes Film Festival with Megalopolis45 years after his second Palme d’Or for Apocalypse Now (1979), announced Thursday the general delegate of the event Thierry Frémaux, at a press conference.
The 85-year-old cinema giant won his first Palme d’Or with Secret Conversation in 1974. The 77e Cannes Film Festival, the most important in the world for the 7the art, will be held from May 14 to 25.
