“Hi it’s Leo, what does it say?”

This Friday, November 17, the independent commission responsible for finding solutions to help victims of sexual violence and incest against children (Ciivise) recommends in its final report lifting the statute of limitations for such acts. Since 2018, victims of sexual violence during childhood can file a complaint until they turn 48. Beyond that, the facts are considered prescribed, that is to say too old to be judged.

If you are a witness or a child in danger, there is a free national number: 119, open 24/7. It is also possible to send a written message via an online chat.

Brazilians hope to be able to breathe from this Friday, supposed to mark the end of an extreme heat wave in the country. It was up to 58.5 degrees Tuesday in Rio. “I have never felt such a high temperature,” explains journalist Florian Chevallay, present in the heart of the Amazon. In this episode, he explains the inequalities suffered by the population in the face of this heatwave.

And then, American rapper Snoop Dogg announced that he was quitting smoking at age 52. He does not specify whether he is talking about cannabis or simply tobacco, but his fans are worried as he has accustomed them to smoking several joints a day. In the end, it was Snoop Dogg’s family who were worried about his health and who managed to make him see reason.
