A year after the disappearance of Eduardo Malpica, the widow of the Trois-Rivières resident is calling for a public inquiry to be held to shed light on the work of investigators from the police department of the city of Trois-Rivières.

In an interview with Jean-François Guérin, Chloé Dugas criticizes the investigators for having had tunnel vision regarding the disappearance.
“For me, it’s not just an investigation that was botched. I don’t have the impression that the investigators had much interest in unraveling the mystery of Eduardo’s disappearance,” she stressed on the show. Current cases.

A petition was launched jointly with the Trois-Rivières Solidarity Committee to request a public inquiry.
The man’s relatives believe police did not do enough in the investigation.
“I don’t think it’s normal for there to be fights in bars and for the police to tell me ‘there’s nothing there, it’s something normal that happens in bars’. for me, it’s problematic,” she continues.
“I want to get answers for Eduardo.”
