Wednesday, August 7, was the second day of searches in Haute-Saône as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Lina, 15. Last week, the Vosges forest was explored. These are all sites that are on the route of the car where the teenager’s DNA was found.

Hectares of forest to inspect, Wednesday, August 7. In the heart of a massif in Haute-Saône, investigators are at work, out of sight. 90 gendarmes have been mobilized to try to find Lina, who disappeared last September. In search of a possible body, investigators have in particular a ground penetrating radar capable of detecting anomalies in the layers of the ground using electromagnetic waves. This radar is notably used in the construction industry and in the judicial field.

These new searches are located on the route of the main suspect’s car, traced by investigators using geolocation. First in Plaine (Bas-Rhin), the place where the teenager disappeared, then in Bois d’Anould, which was searched last week, and finally in Bois de Saulx. An axis that could lead to Besançon, the main suspect’s domain. The gendarmes’ presence was lifted at the end of the afternoon. Their searches are due to resume on Thursday, August 8.
