While La France insoumise and Europe-Ecologie-Les-Verts have reached an agreement, the Socialist Party is still negotiating with that of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, particularly with regard to the number of constituencies allocated to the Socialists.
Negotiations continue on the left with a view to the legislative elections. After the agreement with the Greens, it is the turn of the PS to dialogue with the Insoumis. But why is it so long and what is still blocking? “We saw the comings and goings of the Socialists all day and at 9:10 p.m., Monday May 2, we had a provisional exit from the negotiations from Pierre Jouvet, the chief negotiator of the PS”explains Alexandre Peyrout from the 23h set of franceinfo. “We want all leftist and environmentalist forces to be present. “Before reaching an agreement, there are two major obstacles. First, the question of Europe and this notion of European disobedience which does not please Olivier Faure. There is also the question of constituencies. LFI would offer around 50 to the PS, which is asking for around 70.
