Before its military counter-offensive on the ground, Volodymyr Zelensky has been engaged in an offensive for several days diplomacy in Western Europe. After Italy and Germany, the Ukrainian president is going to Paris on the evening of Sunday May 14, with the aim of recovering more military equipment with weapons and planes. Germany has already promised more tanks and weapons, and England took a step forward by granting Storm Shadow missiles.
A decisive counter-offensive
After 445 days of war, the positions of Ukraine and Russia have changed little. Zelensky knows that its counter-offensive, scheduled for the next few days or weeks, will be decisive. He therefore wants to mobilize all its European allies. He will meet one-on-one for a dinner with Emmanuel Macron, to find out if France will strengthen its military aid.
