A 25-year-old woman is in critical condition after being attacked with a stabbing weapon Saturday night in Westmount.

An altercation escalated on Sunday, around 3:15 a.m., at the corner of boulevard de Maisonneuve and avenue Roslyn. A woman was stabbed in the upper body.
The Westmount Public Security Service, which was patrolling during the night, “stumbled upon” the scene, said Gabriella Youakim, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The SPVM police were called to the scene and arrested the suspect. The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital and remains there in critical condition. The perimeter set up in the sector is still in place, said Gabriella Youakim.
