Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is still alive and innocent, according to his sister, Christine, who is releasing a book to defend him, 13 years after the sordid news story that shocked France. And this March 12, 2024, his lawyer, Stéphane Goldenstein was the guest ofEurope 1. He detailed on the air all the details of the file which did not hold up according to him.
“The autopsy was botched”
According to him, the autopsy of the bodies found under the terrace of the Dupont de Ligonnès house in Nantes would be falsified. And the defense of Christine Dupont de Ligonnès assures: “Officially, I will answer you very clearly, the autopsy was botched, that’s it. So we have a paper autopsy, we no longer have any bodies since they were cremated very, very quickly.”
And added: “Agnès’ family decided it, my client was not consulted, and her mother, even less […] The autopsy was carried out immediately, they were quickly handed over to the family for burial. To get back into a criminal case so quickly is astonishing.”
He points out: “The measurements of the corpses do not match. […] When you measure Agnes’ body, there is a 6 cm deviation. The body is 1.73m and she was 1.67m, that’s a real difficulty.”
Stéphane Goldenstein also explains: “The weights are not right either, the big one who is 1.85m strong, at the autopsy weighs around fifty kilos, it’s not possible, where did these kilos disappear?
And to point out a huge inconsistency: that of the food boluses found in two corpses. “It’s a real problem, it means that they were murdered at the same time as the bodies were discovered, or there is no food bowl, and my clients are falling into this error”. In fact, it is also impossible to conclude that the family found under the terrace had been dead for a while.
Substituted DNA?
Upon the discovery of the house by the authorities, if first there was “no blood in the children’s room”it has also been reported that the “cement was soft” under the terrace, and “that means that the burial is concomitant with the discovery, and if that’s it, it’s not the father, he has disappeared”defends Stéphane Goldenstein.
And if Pascal Praud admitted to the latter that he was a brilliant lawyer, who had given him doubts, the host also explained that he relied on DNA. To which Stéphane Goldenstein assured that if the 5 DNAs were indeed from the same family, nothing says that it was the Dupont de Ligonnès family.
