Quebec City Film Festival, AfroMonde… A host of activities to enjoy the summer that hasn’t yet said its last word! Here are our journalists’ suggestions.
Cinema in the spotlight in Quebec
A total of 140 films are on offer on the occasion of the 13the Quebec City Film Festival (FCVQ), which runs until Sunday, September 15. The AfroMonde festival will be held in the Old Port of Montreal starting September 12.
Urban music, humor, fashion, visual arts, gastronomy, all the cultural diversity of Africa is highlighted in this friendly autumn festival, which will launch its 16e edition this Thursday. Guest artists include rappers Shreez, Franko and Heuss l’enfoiré, as well as singer Phillisia Ross. Several thematic zones have been created for the occasion: AfroBouffe, AfroMode, AfroTech, AfroDanse, etc. Workshops, conferences and even a carnival complete the AfroMonde program.
