After his big show Robert in CharleboisScopethe great Garou has been back since last fall in a more intimate tour entitled Charlebois, Ducharme and the others… Surrounded by five musicians, Robert Charlebois draws from his timeless repertoire, and takes the opportunity to talk about the stories behind his songs – when you know his talent as a storyteller, it can only be fascinating. He will be at the Manuvie Theater in Brossard this Saturday, and other dates are planned throughout Quebec until mid-May and even in the fall.

Music and laughter in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Daniel Bélanger, Clay and Friends, Tire le Coyote and Éléonore Lagacé are some of the artists who will perform this weekend in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu as part of the second edition of the Festival Sève. From Friday to Sunday, the public will also be able to make great musical discoveries by attending performances by many local artists in businesses in Vieux-Saint-Jean. Part of the programming is free, including the youth show by Jérôme Charlebois and his partner Annie Roy, scheduled for Sunday morning. Fan of humor? The Little Violins in concert

Seasoned musicians and young talents will come together on the stage of the Pierre-Mercure room for the 59^e anniversary of the Little Violins. In addition to the orchestra, all the students from the school located in Mile-End will perform during this concert under the direction of Marie-Claire Cousineau. On the program, pieces by Peter Warlock, Benjamin Britten, Niccolò Paganini and Jean Cousineau. Tickets for this event hosted by actress Julie Daoust are free for those 18 and under.

Vernon Subutex 1+2+3

Virgine Despentes’ novel was a global success. And the first part of the theatrical adaptation of Vernon Subutex by Angela Konrad, presented in 2022, won over critics and audiences. This piece with strong rock resonance is back at Usine C, divided into three parts. Part 1 is presented alone, the 2^e and 3^e shutters are the subject of a single show. The full version of the show is sold out. Whichever you choose, expect to be jostled and laughed with a lump of unease in your stomach. Be careful, it’s moving!

Focus on auteur cinema

The third Val-Morin Art Film Festival is taking place until May 5. Around fifteen Quebec and international works will be screened during the event, including some Canadian premieres. Fiona Gordon and Dominique Abel, French duo to whom we owe the charming comedies with burlesque accents Fairy And Barefoot Pariswill present The shooting starwhile the American Raven Jackson will present her first feature film, All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt.
