Kakko and Georgiev shine for Rangers

Kaapo Kakko scored twice and Alexandar Georgiev made 28 saves on Wednesday as the New York Rangers won 4-0 at the expense of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Artemi Panarin and Andrew Copp also scored for Rangers, who have won four of their last five games.

Barclay Goodrow and Jacob Trouba added two assists each for the New Yorkers, who left out striker Alexis Lafrenière.

The Quebecer has 15 goals and 25 points this season, in 72 games.

The Rangers remained second in the Metropolitan Division, two points behind the Carolina Hurricanes. The latter will be the visitors to Madison Square Garden on April 26.

Felix Sandstrom blocked 30 shots for the Flyers, who were losing a third straight game.

The club was outscored 18-5 for goals during the streak.
