Devils 4-2 win over Panthers

Jesper Bratt scored twice as the New Jersey Devils snapped a six-game losing streak Wednesday with a 4-2 win over the Florida Panthers.

Yegor Sharangovich broke the tie midway through the third period, deflecting a Jonas Siegenthaler shot.

Tomas Tatar completed in an empty net.

Mackenzie Blackwood made 33 saves, being beaten by Eetu Luostarinen and Eric Staal.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 shots for the Panthers, who have lost five of their last seven games.

Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov has missed a second straight game.

He appeared to injure his knee on Saturday against the Devils. He could return to play next week.

Red Wings beat Lightning 7-4

Dylan Larkin had two goals to give the Red Wings the win.

Dylan Larkin had two goals as the Detroit Red Wings prevailed for the first time in seven games on Wednesday, losing 7-4 to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Larkin leads his team with 12 goals this season.

Michael Rasmussen also provided a brace, while other Wings goals came from David Perron, Olli Maata and Elmer Soderblom.

Ville Husso made 34 saves after losing five consecutive starts.

The Red Wings will be the visitors in Ottawa on Friday.

Nikita Kucherov, Ross Colton, Brayden Point and Alex Killorn scored the goals for the Lightning. Brian Elliott stopped 24 shots.

Tampa Bay was cleared in five power play including a five against three of 1: 53, in the first twenty.
