Webby Awards | Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and Ryan Gosling among the nominees

(New York) Taylor Swift and her Super Bowl-winning boyfriend Travis Kelce, along with Sydney Sweeney, Ryan Gosling and Timothée Chalamet, are among the nominees for this year’s Webby Awards, honoring the best content and creators on the Internet.


The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences announced the nominations on Tuesday, which are the result of 13,000 applications from more than 70 countries.

Taylor Swift’s message published on Instagram encouraging her 283 million subscribers to register to vote in the US presidential elections is in the running in the category of best creator or influencer. The nonpartisan website she directed her admirers to – Vote.org – had more than 35,000 sign-ups, according to the organization.

Travis Kelce earned a nomination for Best Sports Podcast for his work with his brother Jason on their show New Heights. Furthermore, Michelle Obama has been cited for The Light Podcastwhile her husband, former President Barack Obama, was nominated for his work with the social network LinkedIn.

Winners of the Webby Awards are selected by the Academy, while the Webby People’s Voice Award is voted on by the public around the world. Voting for this award is open until April 18.

The winners of all the prizes will be announced on May 13 during a ceremony organized by the writer and actress of Late Night with Seth Meyers Amber Ruffin.

Sydney Sweeney gets a nomination for her collaboration with Ford in a contest where the winner gets a custom 2024 Mustang GT designed by the actress. Paris Hilton is in the running for her 10-minute TikTok post about her family’s hotel brand.

The star of the film Dune Timothée Chalamet earned a nomination in the media and entertainment branded content category for his ad for Apple TV+, following last year’s campaign with Jon Hamm.

Chalamet will face Canadian actor Ryan Gosling, who admitted that his character in the film barbie, Ken, may have “stolen” one of the iconic outfits of Jimin, singer of the South Korean group BTS. Gosling gave Ken’s precious guitar to Jimin as an apology.

The list of nominations also illustrates the impact of artificial intelligence (AI), with several new categories of AI applications and experiences.

Academy members include musician and writer Questlove, writer and actor Quinta Brunson, rapper and actor Tobe Nwigwe, writer and producer Roxane Gay, Pepsi executive Todd Kaplan and Yann LeCun, an AI scientist at Meta.
